Permitting
Kaitlin Fisher is a graduate from Grand Canyon University with a bachelor’s degree in applied marketing and advertising with a minor in biblical studies. Her professional background ranges from being a marketing intern, to an assistant teacher, personal assistant, barista, waitress, and a nanny! Kaitlin says that taking advantage of unexpected opportunities has largely shaped her career.
Her professional skills include organization, time management, administration, customer relations, planning, marketing. She is experienced in Microsoft, Google, Canva, Asana, and Slack. While Kaitlin enjoyed her marketing internship in college, she found that she enjoyed two things even more: one being administrative work, and the other being the privilege of working for a solid company with built-in mentorship. Originally unfamiliar with the architecture and engineering industry, her role as a project coordinator arose as both a surprising and an exciting opportunity. As she interviewed, it became clear that the role would involve administrative duties that fit excellently with her natural personality bent and skillset.
Kaitlin is grateful that in the lifespan of her career, doors have continually opened in ways and places that she did not seek out on her own. She believes that all her past experiences have been valuable learning lessons that have prepared her well for her current position. Gleaning wisdom from older people in her life has positively informed the way she views her career goals and her current role as a project coordinator specifically.
When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Kaitlin says firstly, that the role is a gift! She sees her work as something she gets to steward well and says that learning from her coworkers has been incredibly formative already. She gets to employ her natural skills in organization and communication in a way that serves our clients and is thankful that this job spurs on her personal growth as well. In her free time, Kaitlin enjoys running, hiking, camping, traveling, reading, cooking, baking, writing, and hairstyling. She also loves serving at her church and in the community, as well as spending time with friends and family.
“This role is a constant reminder that I, and the rest of the team, get to work hard on the work delegated to us individually – all for a much greater purpose.”
