POSITION SUMMARY
The Interior Designer will contribute to the planning, design, and documentation of interior environments in support of architectural and engineering projects. This role collaborates closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients to deliver functional, code‑compliant, and aesthetically refined interior solutions across a variety of project types, but primarily Hospitality projects. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical proficiency, design creativity, strong collaboration skills, and holds NCIDQ certification.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop interior design concepts, space plans, and finish selections aligned with project goals and client needs
- Prepare presentation materials including renderings, mood boards, and design narratives
- Assist with programming and space planning during early project phases
- Produce interior design construction documents including plans, elevations, details, and specifications
- Coordinate interior design elements with architectural, structural, and MEP systems
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, accessibility standards, and firm design criteria
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants throughout all phases of a project
- Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and consultants while maintaining the material library
- Participate in internal coordination meetings and client presentations
- Respond to RFIs and submittals related to interior design components
- Assist with construction administration tasks, site visits, and project closeout activities
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited program
- NCIDQ Certification
- 7+ years of professional experience in a design firm
- Proficiency in Revit; working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of building systems, materials, finishes, and detailing
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills
