Jenny Williamson, RA

Jenny Williamson joined the company in 2019 and has been in the industry since 2010. Jenny graduated from the University of Florida with both a Bachelor of Design and a Master of Architecture. Her professional licenses include being a Licensed Architect in Florida and Tennessee, having a NCARB Certification, as well as an AIA certification. Her professional skills include project management, building code knowledge, exterior building design, construction documents, construction management, Revit, Endscape, Lumion, Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD, and interactions with local jurisdictions.

After graduating from college, she gained several years of experience in restaurants, hospitality, and retail, as well as gaining an introduction to project management and project permitting. Initially planning on becoming an engineer, Jenny also had natural artistic abilities that led her dad to encourage her to try out architecture – only if she didn’t blame him for getting into the field later! She found herself shadowing at an international architecture firm that was making palm tree islands in Dubai. Here she noticed how interesting the items for the project were as they were set up in the office space, and she was drawn into the field, as it was both technical and creative.

Jenny believes that her persistence in doing a job well has helped shape her career, as well as her experience helping her parents growing up in a chain of retail stores doing maintenance work, working the floor helping customers, selling products, and running register. Learning from her parents’ business skills, she and her brother ran a very successful vending business of bubble game machines in grade school. Jenny says that these early years really shaped her work ethic, and minoring in business in college assisted her knowledge in becoming a skilled and organized Project Manager.

Her favorite part about her profession is communicating with and providing solutions for clients. In her free time, she loves being outdoors, biking, kayaking, hiking, camping, being creative, being a weekend warrior, and recently becoming a super-mom to the most beautiful, sweet, and smart little girl!
