Ellie Goodman

After joining DandE for an extended internship, Ellie Goodman was brought on full-time in 2026 as an Architectural Project Designer after earning her Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Kansas.

With an early interest in how things are built, how different systems work together, and problem solving, Ellie was drawn to engineering courses in high school. One course on engineering and architecture introduced her to the opportunity to design spaces where people live, work, and interact. That experience showed her that architecture is about more than designing buildings—it is about creating environments that shape people’s everyday lives.

Early in her career, Ellie has been shaped by a combination of education, hands-on experience, and the mentors she has encountered along the way. Her extended internships gave her the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, strengthen her technical skills, and collaborate with experienced professionals. She brings that same curiosity and willingness to learn to her work at DandE, utilizing skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, and hand sketching.

What Ellie enjoys most about architecture is the opportunity to design spaces that shape people’s experiences. Whether designing a workplace, restaurant, or other environment, she values creating spaces that are both functional and welcoming. For Ellie, knowing that the environments she helps design can influence how people feel, interact, and experience their daily lives is one of the most rewarding parts of the profession.

Outside of the office, Ellie enjoys staying connected to her creative side through crafting and other hands-on projects. She also loves spending time outdoors, whether it’s going for a walk, hunting, or simply relaxing on the patio and playing games with family and friends. She also enjoys trying new restaurants and different types of food whenever she gets the chance.
