Blake Emerson
Architecture
Blake Emerson graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a bachelor’s in architecture and a minor in landscape design. In his early career, he spent 5 years at an architecture firm in Charleston, SC where he worked on shell buildings, a fire museum, urgent care centers, and various other mixed-use buildings.
Blake has worked on a variety of projects over the years, most notably managing the roll out of over 200+ Buffalo Wild Wings locations since he started at D and E. He is skilled in architectural project management, team mentoring, systems problem solving, quality control on drawings and standards, and leading prototypes for clients.
He has always loved design and problem solving, and what Blake enjoys most about his job is his social connections with colleagues, owners, vendors, and engineers. He loves creating rapports, doing good work, and continuing relationships with clients for multiple projects. He also enjoys going on site visits all around the U.S.
Blake says that what has shaped his career the most has been the privilege of having good bosses and colleagues. In his free time, Blake enjoys playing golf, spending time with family, taking family trips, and making home improvements.
“With interests in math and art, I decided on architecture for my major in college. And it worked out to be exactly what I wanted to do for my career.”
