Sounds Outing 2024

Sounds Outing 2024

We may have gotten rained out for a half hour, but that didn’t stop us! Another great Sounds outing down in the books.

Congratulations, Mya!

Congratulations, Mya!

We would love to acknowledge one of our Interior Designers, Mya Agee, for being accepted along with a select group of 14 other up-and-coming designers to attend the industry’s premier commercial design event – NeoCon.

In their own words, @neocon_shows “offers a comprehensive itinerary led by industry leaders, including editor-led showroom tours and roundtable discussions. It is a unique chance to learn about the latest products and trends that are shaping the industry, while also building meaningful working relationships with other designers, manufacturers, and industry professionals.”

Congratulations on this great accomplishment, Mya!

Tazikis: Brentwood, TN

Tazikis: Brentwood, TN

The Taziki’s Brentwood location was a 3,000 SF tenant build out completed back in 2015.

D and E enjoyed working closely with Taziki’s on this location and a few others in Nashville and Brentwood.  Each site required working within the parameters of the Landlord combined with the local jurisdictional requirements in order to successfully accomplish the client’s branding and operational programs.  We are excited to continue to see this brand grow and offer a great product to their guests.

START-TO-FINISH SERIES: Phase Two – Design Development

We are continuing into the next phase of our one-stop-shop design process – Design Development. While our project coordinators are conducting due diligence, our architectural and/or civil team is working on the following:

  • Developing preliminary site plan layouts
  • Creating a floorplan layout
  • Designing exterior elevations
  • Creating 3D Renderings
  • Adapting the design based on local requirements discovered in due diligence
  • Making revisions based on client review and comments

And more! We enjoy working closely with the client in this phase to create their vision and design solutions to meet their needs. Stay tuned for the next phase!

Project Highlight: Chipotle – Hendersonville, TN

Project Highlight: Chipotle – Hendersonville, TN

D and E provided full site design services and shell architecture for this Chipotle in Hendersonville, TN.

The civil work in this location posed unique challenges to convert what was one site into two, while still maintaining vehicle and pedestrian access and circulation throughout. Our civil team had to creatively engineer the patio and drive-thru layouts in order to make the development work. We were glad to have found a way to efficiently re-use what we could while replacing what we needed to.

Site Visit: BWW – Torrance, CA

Site Visit: BWW – Torrance, CA

Our President & Interior Design team had the opportunity to travel to California recently to visit ongoing projects. While there, they got to perform a progress check at a new-build Buffalo Wild Wings location in Torrance that is nearing completion.

Progress checks are an important part of the process and help ensure that the construction is going smoothly. Being on site allowed the team to check in with the general contractor and clarify any questions he had, as well as walk through the space and ensure that the details and finishes were installed according to the provided construction documents. We can’t wait to see how this project turns out!⁣
